Welcome to our middle school where our dedicated staff actively invest in students' academic, social, and spiritual growth, creating a strong and supportive community.

Electives

Our Middle Schoolers rotate through various electives throughout the year. Electives include Art, Drama, Woodshop, Cooking, Ukelele, Life Skills, Survival Skills, Worship Band, Guitar, Chess, App Creators, Block Printing, Archery, and more.

Leveled Math

We offer Regular and Accelerated math at every grade level in Middle School.

STEAM

Middle School students meet 3 times per week and work through different STEAM modules each quarter which include Robotics, Coding, Green Architecture, Medical Detectives, Magic of Electrons, Design and Modeling, and more.

6th Grade Science Camp

Our 6th graders spend a week on Catalina Island at Campus by the Sea. We spend time in God's classroom, learning and soaking in His creation.

7th Grade Mexico Mission Trip

Our 7th graders spend a week at Door of Faith Orphanage in La Misión, Baja California. It is a completely unplugged week of selfless service and hard work. It is a trip they won't forget!

8th Grade Rock-N-Water

We take our graduating 8th graders to an epic long weekend of river rafting, canyoneering, and rock climbing on the American River. What a great way to celebrate the end of their time at TLCS!

Our curriculum follows the California Standards and is designed to help each student advance as rapidly as possible, yet places no student under undue pressure that would result in frustration. It is our
intent to help him/her develop the proper study habits with a planned and varied program.

Textbooks used are selected from the best available in their respective fields and are selected on the
basis of excellence in content.

In order to create an academic, social, and moral climate conducive to excellent learning and mastery
of basic academic skills and study habits, a consistency of methodology, texts and skills will be
emphasized as our students progress from grade to grade.

The academics will be guided by the use of TLCS approved curriculum to cover the
areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
The social and moral foundation will be based on the Word of God, the Bible, and is
integrated throughout each day. The Association of Christian Schools, Intl.. materials
may also be used.
A sense of self-worth, responsibility and respect for others is encouraged in each child
through teaching, staff listening, staff modeling of appropriate behavior, and careful
guidance. We also reinforce responsibility, respect, and compassion through a social-
emotional curriculum for K-5 called Random Acts of Kindness.
